joining the fundraiser on the second wave, Fyrious contributes some nasty deep dubs with his System EP.
Between lost melodies and fragmented rhythms, that’s what’s left: another story from bass land. Under the moniker ‘Fyrious’ the Vienna-based artist VOOCOO has yet another facet in the making. This musical endeavour relies mainly on heavy dub-driven grooves, endless echoes and jittering melodies. Since 2014 VOOCOO has been actively producing and going in different directions. From live performances on ‘Parallel Life’ alongside Pan Daijing and Oklou to opening for Mykki Blanco in 2016, the focus has shifted to sound design for various productions. In the meantime, several new aliases and collaborations have emerged. ‘Hitpeople’ is one of the latest tricks – a project with DJ Gusch – composing a vivid live electronic experience. In collaboration with labels like ‘Morbit Exile’ and ‘Vienna Underground Traxx’, VOOCOO has released some weighty tracks in recent years.
